Title : Trace the Thread
Aim : -
To raise the awareness of the public toward the fashion industry’s most pressing issues, pollution and know the true cost of our fashion pieces
To celebrate those who involved in creating a more sustainable future of the fashion industry
Why is it important?
People is suffering and our mother earth is at risk as a result of fast fashion. This is a fact that many people do not know. Every time we buy a new clothes from shopping mall is contributing to the second largest polluter in the world, fashion industry. This project is aim to let public realize the truth and strive to be a responsible buyer of fashion and child to our Mother Earth. At the same time, we would like to celebrate those for the good movement in sustainable fashion and teach public about the way they are able to take intend to slow down their hunger for fashion.
How to execute?
Ask for collaboration with Fashion Revolution Malaysia or Penang Green Council. At the same time, we could apply sponsorship from the Penang State Government and venue sponsor from the Hin Bus Deport Art Centre, Straits Quay or China House since they have lots of space to carry out activities. The activities can be separate into four, which is:
Exhibition on the statistics regarding the issues of the fashion industry with our own design and artwork which made up of unwanted fashion stuff by public
Talk / Workshop lead by Fashion Revolution Malaysia about ways to sustain fashion
Invite Thrift-On-Wheels (VOWS) to sell second hand fashion stuffs on the spot and public also can sell their unwanted fashion stuffs to them
Invite designers through Jack in the Box to draw on canvas bag and sell in a bidding way
Intend to reach audience as much as possible, the suggestion of marketing strategies are most likely social media, corporation's official page, media (radio & newspaper) and of course our design of brochure, banner and so on.
