The invitation letters were sent out to our client, Fashion Revolution Malaysia and one of the partners of our event, Thrift-On-Wheels(VOWS) on Tuesday (6/9/2016) during night time. I was surprised when they immediately get back to me in the next day morning. In quick, we arrange a meet up on Thursday (8/9/2016) evening, which is the time after our class.
Dated On Thursday, 8/9/2016 5.00pm through Skype

Since the VOWS is distance apart at Petaling Jaya and I am staying in Penang, we are unable to meet up face-to-face. After few e-mail gone and back between me and Ms. Syakirin (the founder of VOWS), we decided to have a short talk through video call.
Jin Ling and Hui Ying were joined us on the video call while they are waiting for the next meet up with client. After a brief introduction of the three members in front of camera to Ms. Syakirin, I explained our proposal to her, while Jin Ling and Hui Ying assist me at the side.
Ms. Syakirin is quite passionate about our idea and she promised that there is a lots stuff she can bring over for us. However, she wishes us to get back to her only if we confirmed the venue and client. It took us around half hour to done the meeting. As promised, I send her the 'Trace the Thread' proposal and continue to keep in touch with her.
Dated On Thursday, 8/9/2016 6.30pm at St. Presso Elit Avenue

It is our first official meeting with our client, Fashion Revolution. The main person in charge of Malaysia part are Ms. Sasibai Kimis at Kuala Lumpur and Ms. Laura François at Penang (click HERE for further information about them). As our event will be held at Penang, I contacted Ms. Laura, who is the Assistant Country Coordinator of Fashion Revolution directly through Facebook messenger and she was happy to have a face-to-face meeting with my team members. The meeting was scheduled at 6.30pm which is the time frame that all of us are available.
During the meeting, a brief introduction to my team members and our project idea was explained and proposed to Ms. Laura in a more official way. We showed the activities will be carried out throughout the project and how are them link to our intended idea as well. Finally, she accepted our partnership invitation and looking for what she can offer us through this cooperation.
Ms. Laura is quite experiencing on activities of sustainable fashion, include talk, upcycling workshop, film session and so on. She leaded us to draw the focus point of the event, teach us the way to attract public's eyesight on us, give us suggestions on workshop and much more. She even suggested us to arrange a film session in which she will provide us the film for free.
Four of us were benefited much from her throughout the meeting. By the end of this meeting, good feedback was given by her. At the same time, we were informed that Ms. Laura will be leaving Penang on next month but she will stay in touch with us to carry out this event. After the meeting, she also link me to one of the expert in Artisan market, Ms. Oga and also provide us some useful information.
It was a great evening with them!
