Through the conversation with Ms. Queen, Jin Ling and me get to know there is a screening session of Freedom Film Fest Penang 2016 with title 'Out of Fashion' which have a similar concept with our event.
We acknowledged that, this is a rare opportunity to learn from the industry professional. Thus, we decided to join the screening and also freedom talk to have an idea how to plan and manage our film session in a good way.
After enjoying the screening and freedom talk for 2 hours long, we meet Arts-ED people, Chen Yoke Pin in the hall. We aim to borrow the tools for silk-screen printing from them to keep our event budget low.

She allowed us to borrow those tools but their stencil is purposely for their event. Thus, we have to customize our own. At the same time, she reminded us that the paint for silk-screen printing is full of chemical which enhance our environmental pollution and there must be people to bring this issue to our attention. She worried it may spoil our event and advise us to come out another workshop.
She introduced one of the speakers during the freedom talk session, Tan Lay Heong, a visual artist who started to include upcycling elements in her artworks since 2 years ago to us. Although Ms Tan mentioned that she never involved in the upcycling fashion during the past, she could have a try if there is collaboration opportunity.
Thus, we noted down her contact information and pass it to Hui Ying since she is the one in charge of the silk-screen printing section. Both of them are welcome us to keep in touch with them if there is anything we need their hands.

Alex Lee, the founder of Tiny Space who passionate in wood creations.
Jin Ling contact him under the introduce of Ms Mary Tang, a local designer. She made an appointment with him at his studio, which located at Hin Bus Depot Art Centre to borrow the wood pallets for our sponsorship interactive wall section.
Hui Ying joined us for this visit. When the time we went to his studio, he was busy with his stuff. Thus, we came back after half hour. During the meeting, we briefly describe our event proposal to Mr. Alex and let him know the purpose we borrow the wood pallets.
As our gallery is at upstairs, he strongly do not recommend us to use wood pallet as it is very heavy to carry. However, he is willing to help us solve the problem as he giving out the suggestion to hang our QR codes. We think it is a simple, yet creative idea to carry out.
We leave after we talked to him for around 20 minutes. He welcomes us to call him anytime if we need help. Afterward, Jin Ling was sharing the sketch drawing of Mr. Alex to Ee Lin through Facebook as she is the one in charge of the session.
We are glad that there is a lot of good people around us to help out the event.
