3 Research Portfolio: Infographic

Our infographic separate into 4 themes, which are Ethical, Process, Pollution and Suggestion. I will in charge of the part of the Ethical issue. Below are examples of infographic that I have researched. For this, my aim is to come out a clear and creative infographic to draw people to understand this serious issue in a joyful way.
1 | Slaves

This is infographic about human trafficking with the title of 'Slaves'. It has almost similar idea with my part as I will explain about the fashion factory workers' situations as they work for long hours with a low payment and which country people they are.
This infographic design adopts the similar style, which is clear and neat as seen on the font and the illustration. The designer well used of the iron chains which related to its title to connect or be the border of each section. The use of dark orange illustrations on light grey background is comfortable for audiences' eyes. However, it is too dim to attract people from far away.
Quality Statement
We will include the similar design as the iron chains to guide the audience throughout the design. In addition, we would like to use lesser word and more focus on graphic in order to allow the absorption of audience on this pressing issue in a faster way.
2 | The Hazard of Hospitals

The Hazards of Hospitals is an infographic talk about the reason that US hospitals are not nearly as safe as we think. This made me link to the idea that hidden side of the fashion industry.
It is an informative infographic which fully use of the page to deliver the message to its audiences. The illustration of this design is simple enough to make the audience get the message once they looked at it. However, it does not lose its own style by standardized the colors (grey, yellow and orange), the font and the illustration style.
Quality Statement
We will include the color scheme and the graphic style of this infographic in our design as it is visually appealing and can immediately generate readers interest.
3 | Fast Fashion

This is an infographic that concerns about Fast Fashion, from quantity of clothes made in the US to the brands encourage the hunger for fashion. It is the most relevant topic that I am going to design.
The coverage of this infographic is very wide. Thus, the designer use stroke line to divide them, which is a boring way for infographic design. In addition, play with the orange and blue color scheme is definitely a good idea, but the colors apply on this design are not bright enough to build the contrast. At the same time, the different size of the title and the layout create a mess feel for audience.
