It's the day!

Yesterday (29/10) night, Ee Lin came over my hostel to pass me the donation box, stickers, posters, scissors and table clothes. While the noon, I also take the time to confirm with our 3 volunteers: Candice, Lye Chieh Ling and Lee Ren as we do not have enough people due to the absence of Jin Ling (for her cousin's wedding dinner at KL) and Ee Lin (Work).

8 o'clock in the morning, we went to the Upper Penang Road after I fetching Candice at her hostel. Around 9am, we arrived the venue for Little Penang Street Market and brought all the stuffs to our booth. Hui Ying was waiting us over there. 3 of us spent around 45 minutes to set up our booth with table clothes, poster and donation box. All the stickers, vouchers and also those bracelets made from old clothes are displayed on the table.

Since the time still early and not much people around, we decided to make more bracelets for display and attract people with the process. Hui Ying and Candice were in charge of the Public Relation role to let audience aware of our event and come for our tutorial or make a donation. They also involve in the tutorial. While me, mostly is making the bracelets, giving out the vouchers and stickers for audiences.

Lye was coming over at 11.30am and bring us lunch. After a while, it started raining. Thus, we asked Lee Ren no need to travel so far to help out as there is not much audience as well. Hui Ying and Candice take the donation box and walk around for donation. Lye and me were in charge of the booth.

Other than teaching people to do the bracelets, some of the audience buys it from us. We are happy that we could get donation by selling out our handmade bracelets. At the same time, we also keep follow up with US Pizza Malaysia regarding their business.

Aside the donation we get, we also get some advice from the artists at Little Penang Street Market on the way to make our roadshow more nice. We even invite them to attend our event and hope to see them on that day.

——Connect with the Potential Clients for Pre-loved Market

I found some potential client for our Pre-loved Market. Thus, I asked Candice and Lye to handle the booth, while Hui Ying and me went to connect with the potential clients, which are: Aunty Leong & Mr. Kevin.

Aunty Leong is the one who is selling her patch works, while Mr Kevin's family are selling the pre-loved vintage clothes. I leave them my contact number and both of them promised to get back to me latest by next Friday.
