Update: Send Invitation Card, Shop for Props & Deal with PBB Group

Counting down 2 days to the event!

——Send out Invitation Card

I have separated the list into 3, which is sponsors, media and guests.

I in charge to send out for guests, such as our advisor Mr Faris, head of program Mr Ch'ng and those who helped us on the path. Jin Ling was in charge of media, while Hui Ying and Ee Lin was in charge of sponsors which is under their part.

As most of us are going down to Georgetown, Jin Ling, Hui Ying and me decided carpool again.

——Shop for Props

After that, Hui Ying and me followed Jin Ling went to Nanyang for purchase some board for putting into the framebox.

This is due to the card board that she collected for the shop her mum working at is not enough for the 14 shirts. And we went to Popular bookstore at Queensbay before. They do not have the foaming board that we need.

At the end, we brought 3 foaming boards at Nanyang.

——Deals with PBB Group Marketing Manager

I asked Hui Ying to follow up with PBB Group the time we can get the key to open the gallery for set up. She called to the office and discuss this with its Marketing Manager.

The Manager told us that the time frame for us to both of the set up and event day is too long, which is 20 hours for both of the day:

Saturday (26/11) - 10.00am to 8.00pm

Sunday (27/11) - 7.00am to 5.00pm

She told Hui Ying that they will have extra charge if more than 10 hours for the sum hours of 2 days. Although the contract that we signed with Mr Looi (resigned few weeks ago) is clearly mentioned about the time, and I also made clearly about the time on the spot on the day, the manager is not willing to accept it.

Hui Ying passed me the phone in the car, and I talked to her nicely which to make clear about the reason and also asked both of the side to tolerance. Our event is confirmed from 7.00am to 1.00pm (6 hours + 1 hours clean up) and required for at least 5 hours for us (from 12.00pm onwards) to set up on Saturday (26/11). Thus, we need around 12 hours for 2 days.

At the end, she is fined with the time and remained alocated Hui Ying as the person in charge. We can call the security guard to open the gallery for us once we reached and close it before we left.
